
When the termtime pressure is off there is still an opportunity to discover what is happening in the environment.The changing seasons bring different cycles of insects, flowers, tree blossom and fruits, vegetables and young creatures. Microscopes come out, underwater periscopes are found, insects are trapped and studied and mice are enticed to sample tasty bits and lured into humane traps, so that we can closely look at them. Duck eggs are incubated in the springtime and the hatchings are closely monitored. Inside we may be cooking or being artistically creative.
